The National Eye Institute of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) awarded us an R01 grant for the project titled Maps as a service: A systematic approach to the production of tactile and audio/vibrational maps for visually impaired users (PI: R. Manduchi). This project is in collaboration with Nick Giudice from the University of Maine, and with the Vista Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired of Palo Alto, Santa Cruz, and San Jose.
