Our paper Improving the Accessibility of Mobile OCR Apps Via Interactive Modalities has been accepted at the ACM Transactions on Accessible Computing.
This article, co-authored by M. Cutter and R. Manduchi, proposes a new method to help a blind person use mobile OCR apps more efficiently by means of text spotting techniques coupled with an appropriate interface. The article can be found here.
